BUSHY'S STIFFY MINNOW
You've got to hand it to the Bushman, he's not one to sit on his hands when it comes to fishing, and lure fishing in particular.
The moustachioed one has been busy in the back shed again, working away on yet another lure design, and the result is the Stiffy Minnow.
Designed for the Bream market, this 60 millimetre long mid-depth plug comes in eight colours, is equipped with top-notch size ten Owner hooks and split rings, a welded wire frame (not just screw-in eyelets), and already has a number of Bream tournament wins to its credit.
The Stiffy Minnow has a streamlined design which means it casts like a bullet (ideal for picking off spooky Bream in shallow water at long range), and will dive to a metre and run a bit deeper than that on the troll.
Don't just think of Bushy's Stiffy Minnow as a Bream lure though. Try it on Flatties, Bass, Estuary Perch, Tailor, Salmon, and the prototype versions proved very successful in the alpine lakes on Rainbow and Brown Trout.
